CYCORE COMPUTERS NAMED FINALIST IN 'BEST INTERNET SOFTWARE' CATEGORY OF BEST OF COMDEX

Software-only solution lets companies build "virtual" versions of their products on the Internet, allowing customers to "use" all product functions before purchasing online.

COMDEX, LAS VEGAS, NV (November 18, 1998) - Cycore Computers, the Sweden-based developer of Final Effects™ special effects software for the film and video Industries, has been named a finalist in the "Best Internet Software" category of PC Week's Best of Comdex award program for their new product, Cult 3D® Animation. Cult 3D is the industry's first real-time, multi-platform 3D rendering engine. Images created with Cycore's solution can be viewed in real-time by even low bandwidth systems, including 28.8 modems. Among other applications, the software is particularly suited to e-commerce because it allows consumers shopping online to use all of a product's functionality before purchasing.

Cycore is demonstrating Cult 3D at the "Sweden at Comdex '98" booth - S4056 - in the upper level of the Sands Expo and Convention Center.

With built-in compression and streaming, the Cult 3D file format allows faster downloads and progressive viewing. Objects can be embedded in any HTML page and viewed with standard browsers. In addition to e-commerce applications, Cult 3D is also being marketed as a solution for a wide range of industries including: gaming, education and distance learning, engineering and online training.
